Exhibition Title | The Subtle Triangle
Period | 10 March – 10 May 2015
Venue | Seoul Museum of Art
Seoul Museum of Art presents an exhibition that highlights three individual artists from Korea, China and Japan. It is shown as if each of them represents certain views of the world yet ambiguously invoking the past history and its reverberations that these countries willy-nilly shared together. Artworks that pose trivial approach in the process of making and some of which are imbued with rather heavy subjects like war memories or mass production are all included in the show. This exhibition seemingly intended to suggest this triangular relation in the realm of art, and it is interesting to see how the participating artists mutually work together in a time when tension mounts regarding the political issues over the East Asian region today.
